The Art of Being Me

at ease with who I am

Hello. My name is Leopi. Leopi was given to me as my birth name and comes from the word Leopard, the big shy cat that feels comfortable hanging out in trees. I feel very happy and blessed to have been given this namesake. But, why is the Leopard important to me as a representation of Ortho-Bionomy? Imagine being in a state of ease, connection and integration from head to toe, to tail, like a Leopard? My name is Leopi Lein Nicola Sanderson-Edmunds.

I am a practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy. I am a home birth Midwife, figurative Painter, mother, sister, daughter and grandmother.

I am sort of like a tracker with your inner body Self and Life force, a guide helping you connect with and observe your inner landscape. We together, are invited by your intelligent and sentient being to heal your self, without force or resistance. We are always patient and non judgmental.

You will rediscover what you already have.

We ask your body through Ortho-bionomy what it may be waiting to tell you. We release tension, pain and perhaps emotions, like fear, so we can free up more space for the experience of peace, joy and stillness.

Many of those who receive Ortho-Bionomy experience moments of deep calm, a feeling of expansion, and new internal sensations that settle into a tranquil more fuller presence.

What else might happen? we are finding spaciousness where ever it is needed.

Ortho-Bionomy is truly a conversation with yourself. For some of you, this can be quite surprising, as you first observe your body releasing, and this may feel very new and intimate. You may awaken unknown or forgotten spaces.

You may also experience:

Bounce, Lightness, Suppleness, fluidity, resiliency, flexibility, balance

Lengthening and even feeling physically taller. Feet and stride may feel different and more balanced and supple. Shoes may fit differently, so please don’t be too attached to them.

Sleep may be unusually deep and you may awaken more refreshed or awaken very, very sore.

Tender feelings towards yourself and also finding safety within that.

Feelings of presence, softness, stillness, calmness, alertness.

Humor and playfulness in healing, even with trauma.

Experience Self as pure nature, interation and a perfect microcosm.


What I have observed and what my clients have observed while on my table:

You may experience re-connection with your Body Self within 10 minutes on the massage table.

A light dream state yet alert, expansion with internal sensations of warm fluid moving, ripples, bubbles, bumps, warmth, fullness, “inner trails of liquid-light” “the color blue” and other  colors, or coolness or warmth, snoring, belly gurgling, rumbling,  smiles, sighs,  giggling, buzzing, electric impulses releasing, twitches, tears, tingling, trembling, memories, words, yumm… mmmmm… and guttural sighs and sometimes nothing at all but a warm feeling or a very deep sleep.

If you are pregnant, you may feel your baby move when ever a release passes through your body. Your baby may very well turn into her optimal position.

Remember that your body  is your sanctuary and most intimate friend.

You may naturally begin to slow down in this fast world and find more presence and ease with it.
